By Staff Report-
The donation will help purchase over 5,500 pounds of food for distribution, according to Judy Pennington, pantry director.
The pantry, through various local churches and social service agencies, distributed food to approximately 1,800 individuals in 2017 and to 1,200 so far in 2018. Needs are expected to increase for the holidays.
The pantry is open for walk-ins the fourth Tuesday of every month and responds to emergency calls daily. It has been serving the community for 40 years, and McHatton-Sadler has supported the pantry for over two decades.
“We have always held the truth that, ‘It is more blessed to give than receive in service to your fellow man,’?” said Derek Sadler, vice president.
Donations to the pantry are always welcome and may be made by calling 574-267-3943 or mailing contributions to Judy Pennington, P.O. Box 574, Warsaw, IN 46581.
