Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice Adds 3 To Staff

Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice recently added three new staff members to their staff; Chrissy Wilson, Tom Schriefer, and Amy Black.

Wilson, a native of Warsaw, took the position of scheduling coordinator. She is responsible for making sure all patients are cared for each week according to their individual needs.

Black joins as a hospice nurse with over 30 years of experience. She chose to work for the agency because she thought highly of the staff who cared for her father as he went through the last stages of his life.

Schriefer also joins as a hospice nurse. He spent nine years serving in the U.S. Army and 28 years with the postal service before retiring and earning his nursing degree. He appreciates elder care, which led him to this career.

Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice is a 501(c)3 public charity. For more information, visit www.koshomecare.org or call 574-372-3401.

Egner Earns License

Joe E. Egner, funeral director with McKee Mortuary at North Manchester, recently received his funeral service license from the State of Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.

After completing course studies at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and a one-year internship Egner passed the state examination to become a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

He is a 2005 graduate of Manchester High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. Egner later received a bachelor of science degree from Manchester University in sports management.

After meeting his future wife, Brianna Walgamuth, whose parents operate Akron Burial Vault Co. and Hoosier Crematory, Egner discovered his interest in funeral service and became a Certified Crematory Operator.  In 2014 Egner became associated with McKee Mortuary,  and realizing his desire to serve his community, he enrolled at the Pittsburgh Institute.

Egner is available for those wishing to explore funeral service and cremation options in advance of need. He is also available to assist clients with transferring their existing arrangements from another funeral service provider to McKee Mortuary. He can reached by calling 260-982-6700 or emailing [email protected].
