Field Trip For Grown-Ups Sept. 21
Registrations are also being accepted for an adult field trip to Rochester, known as the Round Barn Capitol of the World, on Sept. 21. Leaving the library at 9 a.m. and traveling by carpool, the group will first visit Green Oaks Antiques, one of Indiana’s largest privately owned antique stores.
After a lunch stop, the Round Barn Museum and Living History Village are next on the itinerary, where farm tools, horse-drawn machinery and other trappings of early 20th century farm life are displayed.
To join the field trip, sign up in advance at the circulation desk or call 574-834-7122.
Bring along $1.50 for museum admissions donation, plus money for lunch and shopping.
Writer’s Corners
Sail the high seas with Writer’s Corners 10 a.m. Monday, when the group meets to share their essays on pirates.
Meeting the third Monday each month, this writers group writes about a specific subject each month, then shares their compositions. Any adult who enjoys writing is welcomed to join Writer’s Corner.
Digital Magazines
Magazines are now available from the library’s digital collection along with e-books and audio books. Hundreds of popular magazine titles are available for free download from Overdrive on the library’s website or Libby, the library’s mobile app.
