Collier’s Moving Soon

By Staff Report-

After 31 years at the same Winona Avenue location, Collier’s Heating and Air Conditioning announced Tuesday it will be moving to a new location near Ind. 15 and U.S. 30.

The company is moving to the west end of a building at 2635 N. Shelby Drive, next to Sands Office Equipment and BABSCO Supply. The new facility will give Collier’s 6,000 square feet, and the company plans to build a 2,500-square-foot addition for the showroom of Collier’s Fireplace Shoppe.

The move was prompted by Winona Lake Town Council’s interest in acquiring Collier’s property at 2499 E. Winona Lake Ave. for the construction of a roundabout.

“We enjoyed our years at the Winona Lake location,” co-owner Joe Collier said, “However, with the upcoming roundabout project, it gives us the opportunity to expand our facilities to match the business growth that we’ve experienced. In addition, it will double the square footage of the Collier’s Fireplace Shoppe showroom.”

Administration and the service department will begin working from the new location Oct. 1, while the Fireplace Shoppe will remain on Winona Avenue until next spring.
