Halloween Activites Planned In Mentone

Here’s a list of upcoming activities at Bell Memorial Public Library in Mentone:

• Join us for story hour every Friday at 10 a.m.  Children listen to a story, sing songs and make a craft.

• Creepy cookie decorating: Join us at 1:30 p.m. Sunday to decorate a creepy cookie.

• Halloween Party – We will be having a Halloween party from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The party is open for kids and teens up to age 18.  We will be serving pizza, a drink and cookies.  Activities will include playing Halloween bingo and making glow-in-the-dark slime. Reservations are needed by Monday and can be made at the library.

• Trick-or-treaters: be sure to stop by the library between 5:30 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday for trick-or-treating.

• Have you heard of Hoopla?  It’s a digital media service that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, e-Books, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet or phone.

With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later; titles cannot be downloaded to computers.

• Do you love fitness?  If so, please join us every Wednesday evening for Zumba and yoga.

Zumba begins at 5:30 p.m. and yoga begins at 6:45 p.m.  For more information, contact Eva Mudd at 574-253-5593 or evamudd@ yahoo.com.

• The library is circulating an internet hotspot. These devices are about the size of a large cell phone and connect the user to the internet via cellphone towers.

The device will circulate for a week and units can be reserved.
