Fall celebrations are the most fun, with costumes and decorations.

Family Fun Night will have a costume contest with a monster bash when DJ Scotty Rocker comes to spin some tunes. The family party is at  5 p.m. Oct. 30.

The Syracuse Library is open for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night with carnival games in the “Great Pumpkin Patch.”

A Franken-Wreath class is accepting sign-ups to make a door wreath at 4 p.m. Oct. 23. Young children must be accompanied by an adult as hot glue is involved.

Concluding the seasonal festivities is an open mic night on Nov. 9. Everyone is invited to take a turn on the stage. The theme is Frankenstein with emphasis on the outsider and tales about being the other. Presentations are approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
