New techniques were introduced utilizing the neuromodulators Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and fillers to sculpt and soften wrinkles on the face and body.
“The latest technique that patients will benefit from is utilizing neuromodulators and fillers to treat wrinkles located under the eyes (eye hollows), lower face, chest and hands. The advanced treatment capabilities can help women and men to achieve a more refreshed appearance by softening wrinkles,” said Kauffman.
Also studied were newer cannula devices which are plastic fibers that can provide a gentler filler injection technique for patient comfort, reduced side effects and increased patient safety. Dr. Sachin Shridharani, a Johns Hopkins-trained plastic surgeon based in Manhattan, N.Y. and Dr Susan Weinkle, a dermatologist from Bradenton, Fla. were instructors for the session.
