Summer residents who own property in Tippecanoe Township qualify for a free North Webster Library card. Just stop by the circulation desk and fill out an application or download an application from the library’s website at www.nweb.lib.in.us and click on the “About Us” tab.
Since North Webster Library is part of the statewide Evergreen system, those who hold Evergreen cards from their home libraries can also use them at North Webster Library. With a statewide Evergreen card, patrons can borrow and return materials from and to any Evergreen library in Indiana.
Those who don’t qualify for a free Evergreen card from North Webster or their home library can purchase a short-term or year-long card. The cost is $12.50 for two months, $18.75 for three months or $75 for the entire year. For even greater statewide access, a Public Library Access Card can be purchased for $65 per year. A PLAC card can be used at all public libraries throughout the state.
Although an Evergreen or PLAC card is needed to borrow materials from North Webster Library, no card is needed to attend the many classes, programs and events offered throughout the summer and year-round. They are open to everyone. Nor is a card needed to use the library’s public computers, printer, fax or Wi-Fi or to access the library’s ancestry.com subscription and other online resources.
The library invites summer as well as year-round residents to get involved in its many activities and programs including the Youth Department’s Summer Reading Program that starts June 1 with special events and fun family activities each week.
Information on upcoming programs and events are available at the library, on the library website www.nweb. lib.in.us and or Facebook.
