The following is a list of activities at the Akron Public Library:

• Preschool Story Hour  is from 10  to 11 a.m. each Wednesday morning.  Children ages 3 to 6 are encouraged to attend the fun, interactive sessions.

• The Chain Gang knitting, crocheting and needlework group will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday.  All skill levels are welcome.

• Dish It Up,  the  recipe swap club, meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Add to your collection of great recipes and taste delicious food. Share your favorite "recipe of the month" and take home a whole new set of recipes each month for the family to try. May’s theme: pasta.

• Lego Builder’s Club will be held from 4-5:30 p.m May 21. Build and create with Legos, magnetic building tiles, and snap circuits. For ages 6 and up.

• Puzzlemania meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. May 22. Young and old will enjoy the challenge of various types of puzzles to work on and solve.

• Adult Craft Corner meets at 6 p.m. May 24. This month’s project will be a fairy gardens. There is a $5 charge for this craft, to cover the cost of materials. Pre-registration is required.  Call the library at 574-893-4113 for more information.

• Fall Prevention: Falls remain the leading cause of injury and injury-related death among older adults in the U.S. Join Nancy Hudson at 2 p.m. May 23 as she highlights four preventable risk factors: lack of exercise; unsafe homes, vision problems; and medication usage.

The Akron Public Library will be closed may 28 for Memorial Day.
