John Wagley of Winona Lake was recognized as an Archer Inventor at the Regal Techn-logy Sympo-ium recently.
Wagley is listed as an inventor on five or more patents. He began his professional career as a COOP student for Cadillac Division of General Motors while a mechanical engineering student at Purdue University. At Cadillac, Wagley developed the Proportional Secondary Air Valve System that was in the engines of millions of GM vehicles.
Wagley obtained a master’s in business degree from Purdue and then worked as an application engineer for FMC Bearing Division. Next, he was a manufacturing engineer for Ford Motor Company and Allison Division, GM, working on transmissions and steering gears.
He was an engineer for over 20 years before he graduated from Indiana University Law School. After law school, John passed the Illinois bar, the Indiana bar, and the U.S. Patent bar and worked as a patent attorney for two large Chicago IP law firms. He is also an adjunct professor of mechanical engineer at Trine University.
LSC Communications Recognizes 25-Year Anniversaries
Four LSC Communications employees have celebrated anniversaries recently.
DeEnna Wallace celebrated her 25th anniversary with the company on June 2. She was hired as a material handler in the bindery and in March, 2003 was promoted to a bindery technician. In February 2013, she was promoted to Bindery Operator 2 Apprentice, completing the training to journeyman in February 2015. In March 2015, she was promoted to specialty line team leader and completed this program to a journeyman specialty line team leader, her current position.
Denise Treesh celebrated her 25th anniversary on June 5. She was hired as a material handler in the bindery June 14, 1993 and in August 2000, promoted to a hoist operator in the shipping department. In March 2007, she was promoted to a materials coordinator in J-Stock department.
In February 2016, Treesh was promoted to Administrative Specialist 3 in the shipping department and is currently a Crewing Coordinator 2.
Darrin Lohse celebrated his 25th anniversary on Monday. He was hired as a material handler in the shipping department May 26, 1992. In August, 1993 he transferred to the pressroom as a material handler and was promoted to a press technician in June 1994. In December, 1999 he was promoted to a rolltender apprentice, completing the program to journeyman in December 2000.
In August, 2006, Lohse was promoted to assistant pressman apprentice, competing the program to assistant pressman journeyman in August, 2007. In July 2013, he was promoted to pressman advanced craft, and competed the training to pressman final advanced craft in July, 2013, his current position.
Tyler “Ed” Dawson celebrated his 25th anniversary Friday. He was hired as a material handler in the pressroom June 23, 1993 and promoted to press technician in June 1994.
In December, 1999 Dawson was promoted to rolltender apprentice, completing the program to journeyman rolltender in December, 2000. He was promoted to assistant pressman apprentice in July, 2004 and completed the program to assistant pressman journeyman in January, 2005. In September, 2011 he was promoted to quality analyst in the quality department, his current position.
Chamber Golf Outing Scheduled For July 18
The 44th annual Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce golf outing is scheduled for July 18 at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club near Leesburg.
There will be food and drinks on the course from Cerulean, Oak and Ally, One Ten Craft Meatery, Ortho City Brewery and Smokehouse and Streven Distilling Company.

Two People Promoted At Lake City Bank
Lake City Bank announced a pair of promotions within the company; Hilda E. Cantu to internal audit officer and Kelli A. Cook to retail banking officer in Pierceton.
In her new role, Cantu will conduct internal audits and manage various regulatory processes. She previously served as an administrative assistant for the compliance and security department and has been with the bank for 12 years.
Cantu earned a human resources management certificate from Ivy Tech Community College – Fort Wayne.
Cook promotes and markets the bank and its products, ensures that her branch provides a high level of customer service, and trains bank personnel. She has been with the bank for four years.
Cook attended Ancilla College and is a member of the Plymouth Athletic Booster Club.
