Free Lunch, Children’s Stories Featured In Milford

The following events will be going on this summer at Milford Public Library:
Free Lunch
Individuals ages 18 and under can eat a free meal weekdays through July 27 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the library meeting room. Children can listen to stories read by library staff members while they eat.
Meals are provided by the Department of Agriculture and the Indiana Department of Education. Each meal is nutritious and has protein, vegetables and fruits. No meal service will be available July 4th.

New Items Available This June
Patrons can now check out new movies like “Black Panther,” “Tremors 5: Bloodlines,” “Annihilation,” “The Hurricane Heist” and “The Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle” and “Tomb Raider.”
Children can watch new DVDs including “Pinka-licious,” “Peterrific: Pinka-magine it!” and “LEGO DC Super Hero Girls: Supervillain High,” which are located in the children’s department.
New children’s movies “Son Of Bigfoot,” “Wonder-struck,” and “Sherlock Gnomes” are located in the adult DVD section.
The children’s graphic novel section now features the DC Super Hero Girls series, including novels “Final Crisis, Hits and Myths,” and “Out of the Bottle” by Shea Fontana.
Patrons can check out great CDs like “Now That’s What I Call Music!” “66, 44/876” by Sting, “Shaggy, Golden Hour” by Kacey Musgraves, “Graffiti U” by Keith Urban and “Bigger” by Sugarland.

New items in the adult nonfiction section include “Wood Pallet Workshop: 20 DIY Projects That Turn Forgotten Wood into Stylish Home Furnishings” by Danny Darke, “Great at Work: How Top Performers Do Less, Work Better, and Achieve More” by Morten Hansen, and “RoadTrip America: Arizona and New Mexico” by Rick Quinn.
New fiction titles include “What You Want to See” by Kristen Lepionka, “How It Happened” by Michael Koryta and “The Favorite Sister” by Jessica Knoll. Patrons can also check out new books “You Think It, I’ll Say It” by Curtis Sittenfeld, “Raspberry Danish Murder” by Joanne Fluke, “The High Tide Club” by Mary Kay Andrews and “Kill Creek” by Scott Thomas.
New additions to the teen fiction section include “Picture Us In The Light” by Kelly Loy Gilbert, “Obsidio” by Amie Kaufman and book five in the Fablehaven series “Keys to the Demon Prison” by Brandon Mull. “All of This is True” by Lygia Day Penaflor and “Rebound” by Kwame Alexander are also available.
STEM Day-Build A Frankentoy
Children and teens will rearrange broken toy and stuffed animal parts to create a whole new toy they can keep on Wednesday. Bring a friend to this free program.
Sessions are available at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Register starting June 20 by calling 574-658-4312 or at the children’s circulation desk. No library card needed. All supplies provided.

Michael Jackson Tribute
The whole family will enjoy this free Michael Jackson Tribute at 7 p.m. June 29 in the Milford Community Building. Watch Jovan Carter as he dances to some of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits.
Seating is limited so arrive early to get a good seat. This program lasts about 45 minutes. No library card or registration needed.
