Celebration Planned In Mentone For Jones' 100th

T.R. Jones of Mentone will celebrate 100 years next week.

Jones was born June 9, 1918, on a farm in Calloway County, Ky.

He served as minister at Mentone Church of Christ, where he remains a member, and also worked as a middle and high school English teacher.

He and his wife, Louise, have three children: Jim, Brookston; Kent, Warsaw; and Lee Ann, Zionsville; as well as seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

His family has planned a celebration for 2 p.m. June 9 at the Mentone Fire Department. Friends are welcome.
