Time is running out to own an historic American Four-Square house. The house at 102 S. Maple St., South Whitley, is available until the end of July and may simply be had for the price of moving it from its existing location. The house was purchased by the South Whitley Community Public Library Board of Directors with the idea of expanding library services into the house. However, bringing the house up to current standards is cost prohibitive so the board is offering the house to anyone who is willing to move it. The two-story wood-frame house was built in 1908. It is nearly 2,400 square feet with four bedrooms. If interested, contact an SWCPL board member. A list of board members can be found on the website www.swcplib.com or call the library at 260-723-5321 and leave your name and number for a return call from a board member.
