Kids and their families are invited to rock out at the “Rockin’ Together Musical Magic Show” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at North Webster Community Public Library.

Professional performer Daniel Lusk combines magic, music and comedy in an interactive, fast-paced performance that entertains and educates.

This is a summer reading event open to all children. Those who are signed up for the summer reading program should bring their Reading Passports to get stamped for extra credit toward prizes.

The kids can experience more music next week during “Musical Experience Time” at 10:30 a.m. Monday when Joyce and Wally Dubach bring their violin and cello for a string duet.  The string music continues at 10:30 a.m. July 12 with Mike Beezley playing his ukulele.

Later that day at 3 p.m. teens gather for competitive games with a variety of board and party games available to play along with snacks.  Youth in grades six through 12 are invited to join in.

Crafts will be available throughout the day on July 13 for “Make It/Take It Craft Day.” Kids can drop in the library anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and make a craft or take one home to complete.

The week wraps up with second Saturday Lego Club at 1 p.m. July 14 for children ages five to 12. Legos are provided for the kids to build anything their imaginations inspire. Children under age 9 should be accompanied by an adult.

There is still plenty of time for kids to sign up for the summer reading program and earn prizes for reading, plus they can earn extra credit toward prizes by attending the many programs and activities planned each week.

Got children visiting this summer? The youth services department has lots of activities to keep them entertained.

A schedule of events is listed on the youth resources page of the library’s website at www.nweb.lib.in.us as well as the library Facebook page.
