Tickets are $6 at the door.
The six performances are directed by high school juniors and seniors who have consistently been involved in the WCHS Theatre Department.
“All I Really Needed to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play” by Werner Trieschmann is directed by Daniela Cervantes and Ellen Davenport. The title is self-explanatory – it’s about all the principles of being in a bad play, according to drama teacher Dana McAfee.
In “Wait, Wait I Can Explain” by Christa Crewdson, a boy brings his girlfriend home, but he doesn’t like his parents so he rents fake ones. It is directed by Olivia James and Katie Louck.
“Rest In Peace,” a play by Pat Carr, is a comedy about a guy who died in the hospital. The twist is, he can hear what his family and friends say about him afterward. Students Annalise Harstine and Rachel Smith direct.
In “How to Succeed in High School Without Really Trying,” by Jonathan Rand, looks at ways to get by in high school without exerting much effort. Cassidy Neubaum and Sophia Schlitt direct.
NaevEnya Moore and Patrick Priest direct “Goodbye to the Clown” by Ernest Kinoy. McAfee didn’t want to give too much of the plot away, but said it’s about a little girl with an imaginary friend who is a clown.
Finally, there’s “13 Ways To Screw Up Your College Interview” by Ian McWerthy. Students Kyle Kuhn and Kyle Rickert will direct the play with a self-explanatory title.
Over 60 WCHS students are involved in the performances. Proceeds benefit the WCHS Drama Department.
