The powerhouse bands will combine for an explosive night of rock, according to a news release from the Honeywell.
At its core, Warrant is an American rock band. Hitting it big in 1989, the Hollywood, Calif.-based band rose through the ranks of the local Sunset Strip scene to the level of multiplatinum selling, chart-topping success. The band first came into the national spotlight with its debut album “Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich.” This album produced radio and MTV chart toppers “Down Boys,” “Sometimes She Cries” and the hit “Heaven,” which reached No. 1 in Rolling Stone and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. The single “Heaven” enjoyed gold sales and the album went platinum in Canada as well, eventually selling over 3 million copies.
Warrant’s sophomore album, “Cherry Pie,” was released in September 1990. This album, which spawned the MTV and radio hits “Cherry Pie,” “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” and “I Saw Red,” all reached the Top 10 in the United States and went on to sell 3 million copies, reaching platinum sales in Canada and Australia. Over the course of their career, Warrant has sold over 10 million albums worldwide. The song “Cherry Pie” has taken on a pop culture life of its own, being featured in countless movies, TV shows, commercials and the hugely popular video game Guitar Hero II, according to the news release.
FireHouse reached stardom during the early 1990s with hit singles like "Reach For The Sky,” "Don't Treat Me Bad" and "All She Wrote,” as well as their signature power ballads "I Live My Life for You,” "Love of a Lifetime" and "When I Look Into Your Eyes.” At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award for Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock New Artist.
The band continued to release new material through the 1990s and into the early 2000s, and continued to tour internationally until 2007. FireHouse is estimated to have sold over 7 million albums worldwide since its debut.
Formed in 2007, Downtread specializes in aggressive riffs, titanic drums and ferociously catchy songwriting, the release states.
Riding on lofty, classic rock vibes, the Minneapolis group loves to perform modern rock with what they call a “mean streak.”
Tickets are $100 (orchestra pit), $39 (main floor) and $29 (balcony) and can be purchased online at www.honeywellcenter.org or by calling the Honeywell Foundation Box Office at 260-563-1102.
