Events At Akron Library Include Book Sale Feb. 16

Here’s what’s coming up at the Akron Public Library in February:

• Kids Book Club meets from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday. For ages 8-12 with  free book journals and fun activities. The club meets the second Tuesday of each month.

• Preschool Story Hour will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. Children ages 3-6 are encouraged to attend the fun, interactive sessions.

• The “Love Your Library” book sale runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Feb. 16.

• The Chain Gang (knitting/crocheting/needlework group) will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 20. All skill levels are welcome.

• “Dish It Up,” a recipe swap group, will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 20. Add to your collection of great recipes and taste delicious food. Share your favorite "recipe of the month" and take home a whole new set of recipes each month for your family to try. Sign up is required.  The theme for February is breakfast and brunch.

• “Puzzle-mania” for adults and older kids will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27. This come-and-go event features a variety of puzzles for enjoyment and relaxation.

• “Adult Crafty Corner” will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 22. Participants will be making a snowman popcorn packet. There is no cost, but sign up is required.

• “Lego Club” resumes from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26.  Build and create with Legos, magnetic building tiles, and snap circuits. For ages 6 and up.

• The Adult Readers book club meet at 6 p.m. March 1. New members are always welcome.
