Children Can Participate In The12 Days Of Christmas Crafts

The following activities are scheduled for this month at the Akron Public Library,  205 E. Rochester Road:

• The 12 Days of Christmas Crafts  continues through Dec. 20. Each weekday, a Christmas craft will be available for children to make, free of charge. All craft kits are located at the front desk. Each craft is kid friendly and easy to make. So come join us at the library for some Christmas crafting fun.

• Join the Adult Reader’s Book Club at 5 p.m. today at the Akron Public Library. Contact the Library at 574-893-4113 for more information.

• The next Kids Book Club will be from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the library. For ages 8-12. Free book journals and plenty of fun activities.

• Join us for our next installment of “Dish It Up” at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 at the library.  Each recipe exchange club participant shares their favorite dish with December’s theme: Christ-mas party.

Each participant submits their recipe, provides the dish, and receives a complete set of all dishes prepared for that evening. Call the library at 574-893-4113 for more information.  Sign up is requ-ired.

• Join us for our Preschool Story Hour at 10 a.m. every Wednesday morning at the library. The theme this fall is "Outer Space." There will be stories, songs, crafts and more for children ages 3-6.

• The Chain Gang knitting and crocheting group will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 18 at the library. New members are always welcome.

• The library will be closed Dec. 24-25 for Christmas and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for New Year.

• All ages are welcome to join us for a special showing of the movie "Smallfoot"  at 2 p.m. Dec. 27 at the library. Bring along a pillow or blanket if you like and we'll supply the snacks. Children ages 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
