Mad Anthony’s Lake City Brew House is hosting a series of nights dedicated to the improv group Everyone’s Tiffany, which is part of Center Street Community Theater.
Formed in 2017, Everyone’s Tiffany performs regularly in Warsaw and Northern Indiana. Group members include Clint Buechler, Rebecca Crim, Ben Friedberg, Joe Harmon, Trevor Jaynes, Joseph Nishimoto, Jeff Price and Nick Salas.
Improv comedy is typically comprised of unscripted games and short scenes created by the performers on stage. Many of the games played can be seen on TV shows such as “Whose Line is it Anyway?” A performer requests input from the audience to help kickoff a scene. From there, content naturally drifts from one topic to another. The group may start with middle school drama only then to feature dinosaurs, cruise boat captains, movie stars and Greek mythology. Each game, sketch and show are different.

Trevor Jaynes, Plymouth, has been performing for over 15 years and shared why he enjoys improv comedy.
"I love improv because every performance is completely unique. In traditional theater, the audience is often surprised by what unfolds on the stage. With improv, not only is the audience always surprised, but so are we, the actors. Instead of fearing the unexpected, we embrace it – we pursue it," Jaynes said.
Clint Buechler, another group member, said, "I've always enjoyed acting and making others laugh. Everyone's Tiffany has allowed me to grow as a performer and make some amazing friends along the way."
Nick Salas said, "I guess what I like most is when people tell me, 'How do you do that? It looks ridiculously hard!' All I actually do is construct a fake person in my head and then act and react as that person would, prompted by the other actors in the group.”
Several other improv groups are based in northern Indiana. Back in Five is a college student improv group at Grace College in Winona Lake. Main on Main is based in North Webster, and GoProv is a long-standing troupe based in Goshen.

Additionally, the group is planning the first Warsaw Improv Festival Nov. 11 at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts.
