Debra Collier’s School of Dance is celebrating 40 years in the community.

Performers from the studio will take the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center stage at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday as they present “#throwback40.”

Marking the 40th season for the studio, the recitals will take the audience back through the decades with sounds from the Jackson 5 and Billy Joel to current songs of today.

DCSD alumnus Jeremy Plummer choreographed a production number to be performed by dozens of alumni and will perform an aerial/dance duet with fellow alumna Sarah Mills.

“A highlight of this season has been celebrating our 40 years in the community and sharing our passion for dance,” said studio owner Deb Collier. “Having this group of alumni sharing the stage again, and bringing in such a stunning piece from C5, is the perfect addition to help us honor the wonderful dancers that have been a part of our studio family through the years.”

Over 100 students will be recognized during the awards ceremonies for five or more continuous years of study.

Presale tickets for the performances may be purchased through Tututix.com.  Tickets also will be available at the door.
