The National Oil & Acrylic Painter's Society notified local artist Steve Creighton that his painting "Foley Jug with Rose" has been accepted for the 2017 Spring NOAPS International On-Line Exhibition.

Creighton's painting was one of 150 accepted from over 800 entered.

The exhibition is on the NOAPS website at www.noaps.org.

Judging the paintings for the exhibition was NOAPS Signature Artist Miguel Malagon, originally from Mexico but who grew up in East Chicago. He received his formal training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Malagon's works hang in midwestern public and private collections, and he was recently featured in Southwest Art Magazine's Artist's to Watch.

A native of the Warsaw area, Creighton studied art at Valparaiso University as an undergraduate and continued his art education with graduate art courses at Indiana University. His studio is in Warsaw.
