By Staff Report-

WABASH – The Honeywell Center’s Clark Gallery hosts an annual art competition featuring a unique theme every year.

This year’s theme is water.

Any medium can be entered including paintings, photos, sculptures, textiles, etc. Guidelines for the Themed Art Competition can be found at www.honeywellfoundation.org/themed-art-competition.

Artwork will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 5 at the Honeywell Center, and will be on display from June 8 through July 24.

Following the exhibit, there will be a public reception acknowledging the winners at 7 p.m. July 24.

Corporate sponsorship for the themed art competition is provided by Indiana American Water.

The competition is an example of how the Clark Gallery supports the visual arts by hosting more than 10 exhibits annually featuring the works of students, amateurs and professionals, according to a news release from Honeywell. Because the Gallery encompasses the semi-circle of the Honeywell Center Porter Lobby, foot traffic exceeds 170,000 guests per year. The Clark Gallery is open to the public, and artwork may be purchased through the Center’s box office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information, contact Andrea Zwiebel, Clark Gallery manager, at [email protected] or by calling the Honeywell Center Box Office at 260-563-1102.

The Honeywell Foundation is a public charity in Wabash. The organization and its venues – Honeywell Center, Honeywell House, Charley Creek Gardens, Dr. Ford Historic Home, Eagles Theatre and 13-24 Drive In - provide artistic, social, cultural, and recreational opportunities for all.
