SYRACUSE – Many changes have been made to Lakes Area Players’ upcoming musical theater event, “Christ’s Passion.”
“We have several new people in significant roles: John, Judas and Barabas are all new to the cast, and our Peter is a familiar face but has portrayed other roles in past performances,” said Lake Area Players director Elaine Pearson. “This year also features several pieces of new music which will give a fresh feel to the greatest story every told.”
Performances are at 7 p.m. April 7, 8, 14 with matinees at 2 p.m. April 8, 9 and 15. All performances will be held in the Activities Center at Quaker Haven Camp, 111 EMS D16 Lane, on Dewart Lake in Syracuse.
Tickets reserved in advance of April 7 are $7 for general admission, $10 for “gold circle seating” (first three rows). Tickets purchased at the door will be $10.
On April 8, Quaker Haven will offer a buffet meal in its dining hall at 4:30 p.m. Reservations for the meal are $13. Also on April 8, you can get the $25 VIP experience (this includes gold circle seats, buffet and a backstage tour following the performance).
Reservations may be purchased by calling Quaker Haven Camp at 574-834-4193.  A discount is available for groups larger than 15.
Lakes Area Players is an nondenominational 501c3 organization which performs shows at Christmas and Easter as a ministry for those all those who want to learn more about Jesus Christ’s birth, death and resurrection, according to a news release from the organization.
