By Staff Report-
Formed in 1995, Recycled Percussion has been unstoppable, according to a news release from the Honeywell Center. Their junk rock music became a national phenomenon week after week during their performances on “America’s Got Talent” in 2009. Playing over 4,000 shows and over 400 corporate events in over 15 countries, the group has also done guest appearances on “Carson Daly,” “The Today Show,” “China’s Got Talent” and the Latin Grammy Awards.
After being featured on the cover of “USA Today” and being voted National Act of the Year a record-breaking six times, the band gained worldwide recognition. In 2010, Recycled Percussion sealed the deal and became headliners in Las Vegas, which resulted in new performance elements. Today, they continue to bring junk rock music to the Las Vegas Strip nightly in the Saxe Theater at Planet Hollywood.
Recycled Percussion’s performance at the Honeywell Center will feature group founder and lead percussionist Justin Spencer, aka "Mr. Red"; who will be joined by band members Ryan Vezina, lead percussionist and body percussion specialist, aka "Mr. Blue"; Matt Bowman, guitar, percussionist, ’80s primal screamer and Slinky master, aka "Mr. Black"; and Jason Davies, DJ, percussionist and dancer, aka "Mr. Green."
Tickets are $35 (main floor) and $25 (balcony), and may be purchased online at www.honeywellcenter.org or by calling the Honeywell Foundation Box Office at 260-563-1102.
