WABASH – The Honeywell Center will start the new year off with the national tour of “The Wizard of Oz” in the Ford Theater at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 3.

Corporate sponsorship is provided by Randall Miller & Associates.

According to a news release from the theater, “The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring breathtaking special effects, dazzling choreography and classic songs.”

A celebration of the 1939 MGM film, “The Wizard of Oz” will blow audiences away from the moment the tornado touches down and transports them to a dazzling Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys, the release states.

Tickets are $45 (main floor) and $35 (balcony), and may be purchased online at www.honeywellcenter.org or by calling the Honeywell Foundation Box Office at 260-563-1102.
