Wawasee Choral To Present Christmas Show On Tuesday

SYRACUSE – On Tuesday, the Wawasee High School Choral Department will present “A Christmas Celebration” for the community.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. and take place in the high school auditorium. It will feature both secular and sacred music of the Christmas season. The Beginning Choir, Advanced Choir, and Vocal Motion will be participating.

The concert will begin with all choirs performing an arrangement of “Almost Christmas,” choreographed by former Wawasee student Ethan Wright. “Tell Me Tell Me” will be the choirs’ second selection.

The Beginning Choir will perform “It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas,” with choreography by Sadie Cowan. They will also perform “Caroler’s Noel.”

The Advanced Choir will perform “Let It Snow, Let It Snow,” with choreography by Alexis Spicher. “All I Want For Christmas” will be their second selection with soloist Madison Ingersoll.

Vocal Motion will perform several holiday selections with choreography. The group will perform “Coming Up Christmas Time,” “Silent Night” and the group’s traditional performance of “Fruitcake.” Soloist Tia White will perform “Santa Baby.”

The girls in the group will perform “Mrs. Claus,” and the boys will perform “Little Saint Nick.”

The final number the group will perform is “Boogie Woogie Santa Claus.” There will be special appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Senior dancer Payton Vandiver and junior Elmer J. Kirkpatrick choreographed the group. Connie Meadows is the director of choirs.

Tickets for the program are $5 for general admission. They will be available at the door or can be purchased through Meadows by calling 574-457-3147, ext. 2258.
