Jason Michael Carroll Returning To Warsaw
August 30, 2017 at 6:14 p.m.
By Staff Report-
He first came to Warsaw in July 2007 when he performed at the Kosciusko County Fair.
He also headlined the "A Day at the Lake for the Children of St Jude" benefit and was also added to the line-up a second time.
In 2016, the city celebrated the bicentennial of Indiana and Carroll was booked to perform again in Warsaw for this celebration. A couple of days before he was to perform, his father passed away, but Carroll’s friend Ty Herndon was available and filled in.
A couple of weeks ago, Carroll’s agent contacted Day at the Lake organizer Mike Loher and informed him that Carroll was doing a short acoustic tour the weekend of Sept. 16 and they had an opening on Sept. 14.
After a few phone calls, Loher said it was decided to create a celebration and appreciation concert at the Wagon Wheel following the dedication of the new mortgage-free home being given to Ssgt. Justin Raymer in Shadow Lakes at 6 p.m. The concert is at 8 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts.
“This is a perfect fit since Jason Michael Carroll is also a former Marine and often is involved with events that support our military. This is the first house given to a veteran in Indiana through Operation Finally Home. We want to make this a big deal, because it is. Many individuals, businesses, donors, and volunteers helped make this happen, with the help of the Wagon Wheel, Bishop Farms, Custom Rain Control and Parkview Hospital. We want to continue this celebration of the new home and show our appreciation to those that helped make it happen through this concert. And veterans get in for free – They only need to pick up a ticket and the Wagon Wheel box office,” Loher said.
Carroll is very excited to come back to Warsaw and help celebrate the event, Loher said.
“Rumor has it, he might make an appearance at the dedication ceremony,” he said.
Look for the Operation Finally Home booth at the September First Friday.
Tickets for the show will be available for purchase for $10 each or get tickets at the Wagon Wheel. All tickets are general admission.
Carroll’s new single “Jeans Like That” will be released this fall. He will appear in the movie “Strings,” currently in post-production, to be released this year.
He’s released four studio albums, including the No. 1 debut “Waitin’ In The Country,” and had five hit singles including “Alyssa Lies,” “Livin’ Our Love Song” and “Where I’m From.”
His Facebook page has over 254,000 followers, with 46,000 fans following him on Twitter and 23,000 fans on Instagram.
