By Staff Report-

A comedy night will be hosted at The Ballroom Gallery in downtown Warsaw at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19.

This event is an initiative to provide low-cost comedy entertainment for residents in the Warsaw area, as well as an opportunity for local comedy artists to practice their craft.

The event will feature improv comedy from groups out of Goshen, North Webster and Warsaw. Visiting groups will include GoProv from the Goshen area and Main on Main from the Syracuse area.

The Ballroom Gallery opened this May as a place for local artists to share their work. A team of seven local residents continue to work to make The Ballroom Gallery a space which can be used in the future to inspire and motivate community artists, according to a news release. Admission from the comedy night will go toward The Ballroom Gallery renovation costs.

Concessions will be available. Admission is $3. Seating is first come, first served. The Ballroom Gallery is not wheelchair accessible and requires climbing stairs.

The Ballroom Gallery is located at 122 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
