Upperclass Duo Represents Lady Spartans Tennis

NORTH MANCHESTER – A seventh successive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament appearance and 6-7 overall and 5-3 conference record were rewarded for Manchester University with the release of the all-HCAC women’s tennis honor teams this week.
Juniors Mariam Aly and Erin Cordill were named to the top unit. Aly, earning her first all-conference accolade, finished 6-4 overall and 5-3 against the league playing at No. 2 singles, while Cordill, picking up her third honor, went 9-3 overall and 7-1 against the HCAC at No. 1 singles.
Coach Eric Christiansen’s program also placed juniors Katy Ashpole of Leesburg and Katie Peden of North Manchester on the honorable mention list. Peden was the team’s Sportmanship designee.
