Local Warsaw residents are hosting a free Comedy Night at Tourmaline Event Space at 9 p.m. Oct. 21, featuring an open mic and improv jam.
This event is an initiative to provide low-cost comedy entertainment to residents in the Warsaw area, as well as an opportunity for local comedy artists to practice and share material. In August, Warsaw residents hosted the first successful Comedy Night and look forward to continue offering chances for entertainment and comedy in Kosciusko County, according to a news release.
The free event will feature an open mic for local comedians and an improv jam, which will give community members interested in comedy the opportunity to not only watch, but participate in a show. The show is open to everyone, but suggested age is 18+ due to potential adult content from performers.
Comedians wishing to participate in the open mic or improv jam can sign up upon arrival at the venue beginning at 8 p.m., with the open mic portion beginning at 9 p.m., and the improv jam to follow. Prior experience is not necessary to participate in the event, and amateurs and beginners are encouraged to participate. Open mic comedians should prepare material to fill approximately five minutes of stage time. Walk-in acts are welcome and encouraged.
The comedy night is bring your own beer, and other concessions will be available. Admission is free and seating is first come, first served.
Tourmaline Event Space is at 208 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
