Young professionals in Kosciusko County now have an organization formed just to serve them. The Young Adult Professionals was formed through the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce by several of their young members, and is sponsored by Zimmer. YAP was established in an effort to provide a service to the Kosciusko County community and industry as a recruitment and retention tool.

The launch event for YAP was held in February at Mad Anthony Lake City Tap House and was a success with more than 80 young professionals in attendance. The YAP steering committee announces their second event, sponsored by Biomet and Stonehenge Golf and County Club, which will be held at Stonehenge on April 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet other young professionals in Kosciusko County and learn more about YAP. There will be hors d' oeuvres, a putting contest, and some other surprises. The YAP steering committee invites all young professionals to attend this event - admission is free. Reservations are encouraged, but not required.

The goal of YAP is to provide a professional environment to support and guide Kosciusko County young professionals in their 20s and 30s - singles and married - to connect with one another through networking, friendships, learning opportunities and encouragement. Plans are in the works for professional development, community service and more social events.

For more information about YAP or to make a reservation, call the Chamber at 574-267-6311 or e-mail [email protected] Information also is available at www.MySpace.com/YAPs1[[In-content Ad]]
