Local Attorney Wayne Walston was a featured speaker at the Indiana Farm Bureau Inc. Spring Conference in Indianapolis March 7 and 8.

The Spring Conference was attended by more than 450 members of the Indiana Farm Bureau from throughout Indiana who gathered at the Indianapolis Marriott East Convention Center. The attendees included Jonathan Goon, Kosciusko County president of the Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc., and Tina Goon, District 2 women's leader of the State Women's Committee, both of whom were active in the organization and delivery of the Spring Conference. The theme of the conference was "Building A Positive Team".

The two-day sessions and speakers acquainted members with numerous strategies for growing and sustaining their farm businesses, for better understanding federal and state legislative events affecting their farm operations, and for enhancing the quality of life for their member families. Walston presented on Elder Law issues affecting their members; issues particularly related to estate planning associated with age, health care and disability concerns.

Walston is a partner of the 11 attorney-member law firm of Miner Lemon & Walston, LLP, of Warsaw and Indianapolis. He focuses his practice on elder law, estate planning and Medicaid and special needs planning for the elderly and people with disabilities.[[In-content Ad]]
