Tower Bank recently presented the Kosciusko County Community Foundation with a $5,000 gift toward the Foundation's Pillars of Our Future Endowment Campaign.

The gift marked the first in the campaign's "public" phase, which began this month. The Pillars campaign goal is to raise $1 million for the Foundation's Operating Endowment, which would produce enough annual income to cover the expenses associated with maintaining the Foundation's facilities each year.

"By covering our facility expenses through endowment income, we will be able to commit resources to expanding our services to donors and not-for-profits," said Suzie Light, Community Foundation Executive Director.

If the Community Foundation can raise $665,000 toward their $1 million goal, the Dekko Foundation will "cap" the endowment campaign with a gift of $335,000. To date, the Foundation has raised more than $481,000 - primarily during the "silent" phase of the campaign in which Foundation board members and past donors were asked to support the campaign.

Tower Bank recently opened its Warsaw location. The gift to the Community Foundation was made at a celebration held shortly after the bank's grand opening.

"We take community very seriously at Tower Bank. That's why the funds deposited with us are reinvested into the Warsaw area for support of economic growth and civic endeavors. We are honored to have the opportunity to give back to the citizens and to support the Kosciusko County Community Foundation," said John Warren, Tower Bank's Warsaw Community President.
