Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home Breaks Ground In Warsaw

A groundbreaking was April 11 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road.
Construction is expected to be completed by October 2007.
The owners will be Ron and Pat Redpath and John and Ronna Fruth.
Ron said the site was chosen because of easy access for Winona Lake residents and Warsaw communities along with Kosciusko County.
The approximately 13,000-square-foot funeral home will be a wood frame building with a brick exterior facing Argonne Road. The facility will have a large foyer with a library and sitting area complimented by a fireplace.
Adjacent to the foyer will be restroom facilities. Moving out of the foyer will be a large gathering area with natural light from four dormers on the second floor.
This area is open with a large oak staircase and railing circling the upstairs where there is a staff lounge, private offices and a mechanical room.
There will be two chapel/visitation rooms constructed in a manner that will allow them to open up into one large chapel/visitation room to accommodate large crowds. These chapels will exit out to a carport providing protection from inclement weather.
There will be a private clergyman's meditation room and a children's lounge along with a sound room providing access to both audio and visual recordings.
There also will be a large lounge for the general public and a community center for large gatherings where churches and caterers can serve a full course meal or a light lunch following a funeral service. The room also will be open to the general public.
The arrangement office is situated in a quite area with easy access to the resource center where families will be able to make their own personalized selections.
The preparation room meets all state and OSHA regulations, with a second room dedicated as a hair salon, dressing and cosmetic area. At the rear of the building will be a three-car garage with a storage area.
The facility will be equipped with security cameras and fire detecting monitors.
