Warsaw Furniture Warehouse recently held an 'Oldest Mattress' contest, and the winner was Janet Wagley, Winona Lake. Wagley had a mattress and box springs from 1929 with a bedroom set. Wagley won a new full-size 'Beautiful Dreamer' mattress from Restonic, which has been in business in New Albany since 1938. Wagley's mattress was part of the set of bedroom furniture Wagley's grandfather gave to her grandmother when they were married. After moving to several family members, the set found a home with Wagley in the 1960s, and she has had it ever since. The mattress, which was on the bed in Wagley's guest bedroom, had no tears, and the open-metal springs showed no rust. Warsaw Furniture Warehouse is starting its sixth year in business.[[In-content Ad]]
