McFadden 90th Birthday

Orville L. McFadden DVM, Claypool, is celebrating his 90th birthday today.
He practiced veterinary medicine in Mentone for 20 years and then moved to his farm on Beaver Dam Road, Claypool. He worked for the Indiana State Board of Health as a meat inspector for six years. He became a gentleman farmer upon his retirement.
He married Judy McFadden in November 1951. They have five children: Deneice MacFadden, Akron; Karen (and spoue Ray) Dishong, Fort Wayne; James (and spouse Deb) McFadden, Mentone; Roland (and spouse Pam), Claypool; and Dean, who is deceased. He also has six grandchildren: Rebekah Daisy, Jenna, Nathan and Devin McFadden, Megan Robinson and Beth Miller; and seven great-grandchildren.
Over his years he served on the Mentone town, zoning and park boards. He was instrumental in developing Menzie Park. He has been a flying member of the Mentone Flying Club and was on the board of directors of Farmers State Bank.
He continues to be an active member of the Masonic Lodge, Mentone, as well as the district Shrine. He attends the Mentone United Methodist Church, and has served in many capacities. [[In-content Ad]]
