Kosciusko REMC President and CEO Steve Rhodes recently announced the formation of a new marketing and communications department at the electric cooperative. Heading the department is Doris Lemert, who serves as manager of marketing and communications. Lemert joined the KREMC staff in May 2007 as communications specialist, and was promoted to her new position in October.

Also joining the marketing and communications department is new employee Carol Presley, who will serve as the co-op's energy advisor, providing assistance to residential and commercial/industrial members with energy education and assessment services.

Before joining the co-op staff, Lemert was co-owner of Destination Scrapbook Designs, a wholesale manufacturing scrapbook company. Prior to that she served as vice president of advertising, promotions and telebanking for Norwest Banks Iowa N.A., and held promotion manager positions at WHO/KLYF radio in Des Moines, Iowa, and WOWO radio in Fort Wayne. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in communications, and enjoys travel, reading and scrapbooking in her spare time. She and her husband, Bruce, are the parents of daughter Abby, 11.

Presley, a Mentone native, comes to KREMC from Collier's Heating and Air Conditioning, where she served as salesperson and design/installation specialist for the past five years. Prior to that, she served as store manager for JB Furniture's Downtown Mattress Showcase. Before returning to the area in 2000, she was a U.S. Navy wife for 25 years. She spent 12 years working in the financial planning industry in Virginia Beach, Va., providing assistance to professional military personnel; and she administered a youth soccer and baseball program for the U.S. Navy. She is the mother of two sons, Jonathan and Timothy. In her spare time she enjoys yard work and classic cars.[[In-content Ad]]
