KCSS Hosts 'Sock Hop' Prom

Kosciusko Community Senior Services through its Senior Activities Center hosted its annual senior prom. The theme was a ’50s sock hop. PayProMedia, Warsaw, and Shindigz,South Whitley, transformed the gymnasium into a 1950s soda pop shop. Miller’s Merry Manor provided coney dogs, mac ’n’ cheese, chips, green beans and sundaes with toppings. Wayne VanCuren provided songs from the era, and Shaun Powers of Angels of Mercy sang Johnny Cash songs. Humana brought a team of eight members dressed like they walked out of the movie “Grease.” One of the members brought his Harley Davidson. Prom king was Bob Blakeley and the queen was June May.
