Steuben County Convention and Visitors Bureau and local-based company Video and Sound Productions are answering that question by placing an Informational Kiosk in one the county's busiest locations; the Potawatomi Inn located at Pokagon State Park.
The first system was put in place for the Fourth of July travelers coming to Pokagon State Park. The kiosk features interactive advertisements of more than 100 local businesses.
Steuben County CVB was looking for a company that could provide full-service kiosk manufacturing, program-ming, and also assist with the design of a format that would benefit the businesses of the county. Video and Sound Productions was awarded the contract because of its experience working with Convention and Visitor Bureaus.
"This puts the information in the hands of the people making the decisions," said June Julien, MPA, CDME, executive director Northern Indiana Lakes Country. The kiosk provides printable maps, coupons, and directions to area attractions such as dining and shopping venues.
In the last six months, the Fort Wayne/Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau has placed 12 kiosks in high-traffic locations such as the Fort Wayne International Airport, Spiece Field House and Glenbrook Square Mall.[[In-content Ad]]
