Dr. Steven C. Hollar recently was appointed to the Indiana State Board of Dentistry. He is the first Kosciusko County dentist appointed to the position.

The Indiana State Board of Dentistry is responsible for imposing disciplinary sanctions, conducting hearings, administering examinations and issuing new and renewed licenses for Indiana dentists and dental hygienists. Dr. Jill Burns, current board president, said, "Hollar's leadership experience at the state and national levels will be an important asset to the board. He is respected by his peers for his professionalism and hard work in dentistry."

Hollar has been a private dentist in Warsaw for 14 years. On the national level, he has been elected by Indiana dentists as a delegate to the American Dental Association for 14 years. He has served North Central dentists since 1996 at the state level. He also currently serves on the Indiana Dental Association Membership Council.
