Hauth Announces Retirement From Embarq

Timothy Hauth, Indiana district manager for Embarq, announced his retirement after 32 years of service this month.

Hauth joined Embarq, then United Telephone, in 1976 as a network engineer.

During his career, he also worked as a traffic engineering supervisor, network manager, facilities planner, general manager of network planning, manager of network architecture planning and field team manager.

In 1999, he moved to the position of Indiana West district manager, which included responsibility for engineering, construction and repair of telephone facilities for the Plymouth, Knox, Monticello, Rensselaer, Fortville, Lawrenceburg and Franklin districts.

In 2006 Hauth became the Indiana district manager over seeing the installation and repair of telephone facilities for all 95 Indiana Embarq exchanges.

Hauth received numerous awards for his contributions to the corporation over the past 32 years. In 2004 Hauth was the recipient of the Sprint 2004 Excellence Award. This award was presented to Hauth for his outstanding performance and achievements along with displaying behaviors that supported Sprint's corporate principles and values. Hauth was one of 15 recipients of this award from the National Customer Service organization base of over 10,000 employees.

Hauth is a 1974 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and earned an associate's degree in electronics from Ivy Tech in Indianapolis in 1976.

He and his wife, Shirlee, will continue living in the Warsaw area.[[In-content Ad]]
