Former Warsaw Man Honored

Robert D. Womack, vice president and general manager of Spradley Motors Inc., a Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Toyota, Mazda and Hyundai dealer in Cheyenne, Wyo., recently was nominated for the 2008 TIME Magazine Dealer of the Year award. Womack, who is formely of Warsaw, was one of a select group of dealers from across the U.S. who were honored at this year's National Automobile Dealers Association convention in San Francisco.

The award is the automobile industry's most prestigious and highly coveted award for car dealers. Recipients are among the nation's most successful auto dealers. Those nominated also must demonstrate a long-standing commitment to effective community service. Womack, 50, was chosen to represent the Wyoming Automobile Dealers Association in the national competition. He was one of only 51 auto dealers nominated for the award from more than 19,500 dealers nationwide.

Womack and his dealership support causes including Meals on Wheels, the Chamber of Commerce, United Way and the Better Business Bureau.
