Danco Anodizing will soon nearly double its facility size.

After a 10-year tax abatement was approved by the Warsaw City Council, Danco Anodizing broke ground for a 16,000 square feet addition to it's building facility.

The project, which is expected to cost about $1.2 million, will create 14 jobs in the community.

Titanium anodizing, electropolishing, nitric and citric passication and laser etching for the orthopedic industy currently is the focus of Danco's Warsaw facility.

The building expansion will allow the company to add aluminum anodizing to the business. Orthopedic, automotive, aerospace and boating industries use products with aluminum anodizing.

Another process that will be added to the facility will be Deep Image, which currently is done in California. Deep Image Process is used in orthopedic cases and trays, replacing silk screening.

Danco currently employs 43 people. By the end of 2007, the company plans to finish the expansion and add five to seven more workers. Then the company will add five to seven full-time employees in each of the next four production years.

Danco's headquarters are in Arcadia, Calif., and the company has other facilities in Santa Ana, Calif., and Ontario, Canada.[[In-content Ad]]
