For two years in a row Smokin' Charlie's Catering is the winner of the Best Food Booth at the Taste & Trade Expo 2008.
The winners of the People's Choice awards won free Chamber advertising for their business and plaques to display in their establishments.
With more than 60 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors at the Taste & Trade Expo recently put on by The Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, it was a huge success.
The Orthopaedic Capital Center was filled to capacity with booths from diverse businesses that serve Kosciusko County.
There were two days of activities including live entertainment by local talent, with attendees from all over the county and surrounding areas.
Food exhibitors and caterers gave out free samples to all attendees as they passed by.
In October 2007, Kosciusko Development Inc. and the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce organized and put on the first Taste & Trade Expo to highlight the businesses and caterers in the area. Because the event was a success, it was decided that the expo should be an annual community event.
This year's event also featured entertainment, including the Dancing Grannies, Caudill's Tae Kwan Do, Class Act Dance Troup, the Dejong Family, Provident Studios students, Optimists, Lakeland Youth Chorale and Wawasee Show Choir and Gentle Winds Trio.
Art exhibits from students from Wawasee, Warsaw and Triton middle and high schools were displayed at the Expo as well.
