Beery 90th Birthday

She will celebrate from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 in the Claypool United Methodist fellowship hall, 302 E. Section St., hosted by her children, Paul (and spouse Kathie) Berry, Asenath Wilson, Marie Beery, Douglas (and spouse Marlou) Beery and Leon (and Rox Anne) Beery; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
After graduating from Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Dayton, Ohio, she practiced nursing at Taylor University, Upland; Manchester College, North Manchester; McDonald Hospital, Murphy Medical Center, Dr. J.R. Baum’s office and Mason Health Care, all in Warsaw; and Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake; retiring at 72.
On March 14, 1945, she married Dale Beery, who died Aug. 17, 2007, after 62 years of marriage.
Besides homemaking and nursing, she was active in Packerton and Claypool United Methodist churches, United Methodist Women, Kosciusko County Extesion Homemakers and more recently Widows of Warsaw of First Presbyterian Church and Kosciusko County Women’s Connection for Stonecroft Ministries. She enjoyed Beth Bogg’s weekly Bible study.
She spends five months in California with her daughter where she attends church and senior activities. She likes to play games with family and friends – especially Rook and euchre.
