Alvon Abbott turned 90 years old on Feb. 6, 2012.

He and his wife, Grace, reside at Grace Village.

He was born in Denver, Ind., then the family moved to Fulton a year later.

He was a plant superintendent at Murphy Medical Center for 20 years. After it closed, he worked at Bowen Center as an art therapist.

He is an accomplished artist and has a unique display in his room at Grace.

His daughter, Sandi Bowling, will help celebrate his birthday. Both sons, Steve and Phil, are out of state.[[In-content Ad]]
