Fighting for the first ever volleyball title in the first season of the Indiana Northern State Conference, the top two teams, Tippecanoe Valley and John Glenn, met at Rita Price-Simpson Court Tuesday evening for a crucial match.

Grace’s women’s soccer team continued its undefeated season with a 2-1 win over Taylor on Saturday.

The oldest rivalry in Northern Indiana, Warsaw and Plymouth met for the 101st time in 100 years at Tiger Field Friday night. Four quarters weren’t enough to declare a winner, with overtime being needed. The game came down to its final play, with the Pilgrims electing to go for two and getting it to stun the Tigers with a 33-32 victory to give the home side some homecoming heartbreak.
Still undefeated in Northern Lakes Conference play this season, the Warsaw volleyball team hit the road Thursday night for a meeting with cross-county rivals Wawasee. The Lady Tigers began the game a bit slowly, but finished with power on their way to a 3-0 victory at the Hardwood Teepee.
The comeback crew for Grace’s volleyball team struck again on Wednesday.

One of the most anticipated matchups in the state all year long in the 5A division, No. 3 Concord and No. 5 Warsaw met at Jake Field Friday night. The first half was thoroughly dominated by the Tigers, as the visitors jumped out to a 17-0 lead at half. However, the second half belonged to the Minutemen, as the home side outscored the Tigers 28-7 in the second half to win the pivotal Northern Lakes Conference showdown 28-24.

Hosting Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Thursday evening, the Manchester girls soccer team was able to score early and often. The team cruised to a 4-0 win to get within a game of .500.
Grace’s women’s soccer team completed a perfect nonconference season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Lindsey Wilson on Wednesday night.
Homestead and Warsaw met at the Tiger Soccer Complex Wednesday night in a battle of two of the top teams in the northern half of the state. The game was ultra competitive with both sides putting together plenty of chances, but no goals, with the game ending in a 0-0 tie.

Hosting Culver Academies at the Tiger Soccer Complex Tuesday evening, the Warsaw girls soccer team looked to make it three wins in four games in front of their home crowd. Thanks to a first half hat trick by junior Lola Pepper, Warsaw was able to do just that, hanging on to a 3-2 win.
Cross-county rivals Warsaw and Wawasee met in Syracuse Friday night with the W Trophy on the line for the 39th time. The Tigers started off fast and never looked back, scoring 28 points in the first quarter on their way to a 56-6 win to remain perfect in Northern Lakes Conference play.

In the middle of a fantastic season up to this point, the Manchester volleyball team set its sights on conference play Thursday night as the team traveled to South Whitley to take on fellow area team Whitko. The Lady Squires put on a clinic in a straight-set victory, defeating the Lady ‘Cats 3-0 to remain perfect in Three Rivers Conference play.

Winners of seven straight coming into Tuesday night’s home game against Northridge at the Tiger Den, the Warsaw volleyball team continued to take care of business in conference play, remaining unbeaten (3-0) in the Northern Lakes Conference with a 3-0 victory over the Lady Raiders. The Lady Tigers have now won 17 straight conference games.
The perfect season continued for Grace’s women’s soccer team on Saturday. The Lancers (5-0) blanked Michigan-Dearborn by the score of 4-0 at 1st Source Bank Field. Grace had four different goal scorers, and Audrey Abel passed out two assists.
