May 13, 2025 at 6:20 p.m.
Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club is hosting the 15th Annual City of Lakes Car Show on Sunday, May 18 from noon to 5 p.m. in downtown Warsaw at the courthouse square.
The Optimist Club invites the community to join them for an afternoon of cars, motorcycles, trucks, food and entertainment. Admire a dazzling collection of vehicles representing a wide range of makes and models from across the decades. Highlights include the returning Fort Wayne Corvette Club, vintage Model T’s, and locally treasured Auburns, Cords and Duesenbergs, according to a provided news release.
New for the 2025 car show is an opportunity to test your racing skills and claim bragging rights at the TrackSide Racing Simulator. Kosciusko County Sheriff officers will be handing out goodies. Indiana State Troopers will have a SWAT BearCat vehicle to admire.
Fuel-up with tasty food and drinks provided by the Boy Scouts and the Warsaw Community High School Band starting at noon. Enjoy music from the DJ from noon to 3 p.m., followed by a live performance by the Lake Area Band at 3 p.m. Witness the crowning of the best vehicles from the show at 4 p.m. Enter to win a 50/50 raffle (maximum $2,500 payout).
Bring the whole family and be part of a great community event, the release states.
Vehicle registration is noon to 2:30 p.m. Door plaques will be given to participants. Judging is from 2 to 3 p.m. The awards ceremony begins at 4 p.m. with trophies given to winners. Registration Fee is $12 per vehicle. Proceeds benefit local youth programs in Kosciusko County.
The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club is a volunteer organization and a “friend of youth.” Funds raised are given back to the youth in the community by way of scholarships, free events for kids and families, and grants for organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA of Kosciusko County, Kosciusko Youth Leadership Program, Baker Youth Club and other youth-enriching organizations.
“Our mission is to serve the youth in our community,” said Optimist Club President Paul Finley. “The car show, along with our other fundraisers, helps us raise the funds we donate to many outstanding youth-focused organizations throughout Kosciusko County.”
Finley continued, “We also invite you to join us for our weekly club breakfast meetings, held every Wednesday morning. It’s a great way to get involved and make a difference in our community.”
Buffalo Street from Market Street to Main Street and Center Street from Lake Street to Indiana Street will be closed from about 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday for the car show.
