May 8, 2025 at 5:11 p.m.

Eddie L. Hoppus, 51, peacefully passed away in his daughter’s home surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Born in Warsaw on Sept. 29, 1973, Eddie was the son of Robert “Bob” and Norma Jean Gehl Hoppus. He attended Warsaw schools.
On March 27, 1997, in Warsaw, Eddie married Lisa Walters.
He worked for Culligan Water in Warsaw in delivery and service. Eddie also worked as a ride operator for Wrights Amusements. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion in Warsaw and Crystal River.
Eddie was sweet and understanding but could also be bullheaded and very bluntly honest. But those were also characteristics that his family loved about him.
His family spent lots of memories camping and fishing. He raced stock cars and drove in demolition derbies in New Paris and the fairgrounds. He had a sense of adventure and loved to travel.
Eddie is deeply missed by his wife, Lisa Walters, of Warsaw; children: Latisha Holbrook, Josie (Scot) Puckett, Rebecca (Phillip) Caudill and Denton Frazier, all of Warsaw; seven grandchildren; and his siblings: Bill (Pam) Harty, Jerry (John) Harty, Sheri Courson, Cindy Fiedeke and Janice Byrer. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchild, Baby Caudill.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels to help the family with funeral expenses.
