Natena Jo Berry, of Warsaw, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family. A courageous, strong, beautiful soul who fought hard and lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at the age of 37. Her family has comfort in knowing her pain has come to an end and is now whole again in Heaven!
She was born on July 25, 1987, in Goshen, to Rustina Jo Dodson Berry and Bryon James Berry. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2006, and attended, Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne and Ivy Tech in Lebanon, graduating in 2010. She earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and nursing, and had a huge heart for serving others. She worked in the rehabilitation center in Lebanon for four years, she also worked at Grissom Air Force Base in Peru, Ind., for a number of years in rehab. In 2022, Natena began working in the Boulevard Unit at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw where she became the director of the unit. She loved helping people, her entire life she was always a kind and generous individual, putting the needs of others first. Natena was an active member of the cancer society and COTA for occupational therapists. Her motto was always “Work Hard … Play Hard,” and she lived her life to the fullest. More than anything Natena dearly loved spending time with her family and friends.
She will forever be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Vincent, Martelo and Toronto; as well as her mother, Rustina Berry; brother, Nathan Berry; and her nephew, Hayden Berry, all of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her father, Bryon, in 2012.
